World Instructor Training Schools Releases New Board Members

W.I.T.S. Announces Diverse and Experienced Panel for 2017.

Virginia Beach, VA – W.I.T.S. (witseducation.com) announces the lineup of 6 members to its Board of the Certification Council as we conclude a 12 month process to put in our NCCA application.

Joining the Board of the Certification Council are the following;

Antwain Haskins has accepted the President position for 2 years with the Certification Council. Antwain has over 19 years’ experience in the health and fitness field and as a Physical Therapy Aid. He earned a BS in Physical Education as well as a Masters of Sports Science in Sports Coaching. Antwain is certified as a W.I.T.S. Personal Trainer, Specialist in Exercise Therapy, CPR Instructor and Holistic Fitness Instructor.

Rachel Drake has accepted the Meeting Board Chair for 3 years in the state of Ohio. Rachel Drake earned her certification in personal training in 2011 from World Instructor Training Schools. Since that time she has focused on teach small and large boot camps, small group training, personal training, boxing boot camps and working with people in the area of health and wellness. She also earned her certification in lifestyle fitness coaching last year and enjoys coaching people in the area of health and wellness specifically type 2 diabetics. She currently works at a small gym in her hometown.

Niki Barr has accepted the Meeting Board Secretary/Treasurer for 2 years in the state of Florida. Niki Barr is certified through the W.I.T.S. Certified Personal Trainer program. She started her training career at Bally Total Fitness, working with over 100 clients whose goals ranged from weight loss to post-rehab. In 2006, Niki opened Fly-By Fitness, an in-home personal training company and in 2012, she accepted the position as Health & Fitness Manager at the Edward A. MyerbergCenter, serving the health and wellness needs of the senior community. In addition to her Level VI PT Certification, Niki is certified as a NASM Senior Fitness Specialist, ISCA Kickboxing Instructor, Rock Steady Boxing Instructor, and YogaFit Instructor.

Betty Amend has been the Meeting Board Chair for 1 year in the state of Florida. Betty Amend holds a bachelor’s degree in Business and a Masters in Human Relations. She retired this past March after 32 years as a business executive and is currently pursuing her lifelong passion of coaching and motivating others to achieve their health and fitness goals. Betty was a collegiate athlete and studied nutrition while in college. She received her certification in June of 2016 and is currently employed as a personal trainer at the Players Club in Naples, Fl. She recently started a business called Betty boot camp. She has served on a number of boards during her previous career.

Marc Levy has accepted the Meeting Board Public Member Chair for 3 years in the state of Utah. Marc has a long varied professional history, beginning as a clinical psychologist for his first eight years, followed by eight years as a professor of psychology and organizational development, and as a human resources professional and organizational trainer for another eight years. He now works with individual clients on career transition strategies, for both the Waldron Companyout of Seattle and University of Utah MBD programs. Exercise has been a big part of Marc’s life since he was a teenager, an interest which ties nicely into the W.I.T.S. mission and purpose. His favorite sport activity is downhill snow skiing, and he served as a ski instructor for Vai’s Park City Resort for the past three ski seasons. March holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Cincinnati and a Ph.D from the University of South Carolina.

Michael Bankey, PhD is the Certification Director for W.I.T.S. in going forward with this new alignment. Michael’s experience in higher learning and running key departments in his career will help direct and upgrade the processes for the NCCA accreditation.
