W.I.T.S. would like to introduce Tommy Scott. We are excited to have such a tremendous Certified Personal Trainer & health educator work with the future fitness leaders of tomorrow.
Scott is a 51 year old United States Marine Corps Veteran and recent United States Postal Service Retiree. Soon after an Honorable, Medical Discharge at the rank of Staff Sergeant from active duty (due to a horrific auto accident), Scott decided to pursue a degree in the field of health studies. His passion for how the body functions, increased dramatically following the recovery from his accident. After 13.5 years of Marine Corps Service, 14 years of Postal Service, culminating into 4 years undergraduate studies and graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and a certificate in Personal Training, finally, he is excited to get to live his dream of working in the field of his studies. “I believe that I will be able to relay the principles of personal praining with a degree of passion the students will appreciate,” said Scott.
Scott is married with two children. “My wife and I have been married for 27.5 years and she has worked as a social worker for over 20 years,” Scott says. Their oldest child is a recent graduate of his alma mater, the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Their youngest child is a junior in high school with the intent of attending, upon graduation, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Tommy Scott will be teaching at the following W.I.T.S. locations in North Carolina: Central Piedmont Community Campus- Levine, 2800 Campus Ridge Rd., Matthews, NC 28105.
