Dear Mr. Del Vecchio:

I am writing in regard to my internship with Mr. Ed Genga, Director of the Hartford Hospital Fitness Facility in Hartford, Connecticut, which is listed on the W.I.T.S. list of eligible intern sites.  First, Ed was very prompt in getting back to my initial inquiry about interning with him at his facility.  He was both friendly, professional and very interested in helping me gain the necessary hours for my internship.

During my internship, Ed and I have had many interesting discussions.  We looked at effective exercises and their implementation.  We talked about saving time for clients by executing multi-joint exercises that are more exciting to perform, worked on functional training, circuit training, manual resistance, health assessments, healthy diets, etc.  Ed, has been a wealth of knowledge for me.  He has 30 plus years in the industry and is a very committed professional in his field.  Not only does he take the internship seriously for himself, he expects nothing but the best from his interns.  Ed was always fair in his dealing with me and he always brought more out of me than I may have thought I had.  He is someone who can motivate a person to give more than 100 percent.

My internship with Ed has been a truly gratifying, enjoyable experience and I am appreciative that he has given me the opportunity to work with him.  His vast knowledge through university training and practical experience gives him tremendous expertise in the field of sports and fitness.  I am confident that Ed has helped me gain the knowledge and the self-assurance to work with individuals who are interested in maintaining a healthy lifestyle through a safe, effective fitness program.  I am thankful that Ed has given me the extra tools to begin a successful career as a fitness trainer.

Sincerely,

Lynn
